DIANA-logue ~~ a new day at alpine

A quick editor's note- this was written on June 30th, and not posted til today. Unfortunately, it is raining this morning and will rain most of the day. However, that doesn't dampen the new spirit around alpine.

It is 7am, Monday, the last day of June. Like most mountain mornings, it is misty and cool. The sun will be out shortly, the mist will be replaced with a brilliant blue sky. You all know I put the blog on vacation but feel compelled to touch base with everyone. Maybe the events of the last several days have put me in a reflective mood...maybe meeting so many new property owners Friday and Saturday make me anxious to write. Well, whatever the reason, here goes!
My last DIANA-logue used an analogy of a sinking ship. Well, it looks like the waters have settled and we have a new captain at the helm. And with that new captain, a new vice-president & secretary to help steer us in the right direction. And let's not forget our treasurer... if it ain't broke, don't fix it! (thanks Pat) I, for one, am so excited to see what happens next! The past is the past, and we are moving forward from this point. While our new board may inherit some issues, I'm sure they are anxious to get going into the future. As we all should be!
Our wonderful community is filled with diverse people who share one thing, a love for alpine. We all want what is best for our community. We all help in our own way to meet that goal. No matter what the future holds for alpine, I will support our new board and community. Great things await us.
PS~ an interesting side note, I have thousands of photos of alpine. Dozens show a magnificent sunset. Apparently, I am not an early riser since I have none that show a sunrise. Any PO who has a good one, please email me so I can add it to this story! Thanks!

Thanks, Diana for your support. I am so excited to be a part of the crew steering this ship into the future. I am also very excited to hear from our passengers (property owners) about what is on their minds, what they want and need. Please, all of you who wish to share your thoughts, please do send me an email, stop me when you see me, give me a call. We are all in need of your participation and contributions.
Have a great Independence Day holiday and weekend.

Diana, wonderful logue and couldn't agree with you more. It is also encouraging to see another Board member participate on the blog. What a way to keep communication going in a positive manner.
Thank you for all you do.

I'm reminded of the freshman members of Congress. Before they came to Washington, they believe it to be a cesspool of corruption. Once there, they find it to be a hot tub!
Congratulations and good luck to our new board members! You have a challenging job.
