new features for AlpineLakeBlog.com -- video shorts & weather
OK, so now after reading the last DIANA-logue, we know so many people are looking. And with the increasing success and growing numbers of visitors, I now feel some pressure to keep things fresh and updated.
So I've added some new things to the blog.
First, there's an updated weather station on the sidebar (look to the left). It shows the current temp and weather condition. You can also click on the link under up-to-date weather for more complete details, including a 5-day forecast.
Second, and this one is much more fun than the weather, is some video shorts. Actually pictures set to music, but really cool to watch. And the videos should come up on the listed page. If you have trouble playing a video, let me know. I'll do my best to help you out. BTW, if you're watching one of the videos and want to stop it so you can take a better peak at a picture, just click on the bottom left of the video box. It looks like this ll
There are some other things in the planning stages for AlpineLakeBlog.com. If there's something you'd like to see, let me know. If there's a discussion you'd like started, just let me know. AlpineLakeBlog is here for the property owners to enjoy, get information, and have productive discussions with each other.

The weather update is a great feature and is especially helpful to those of us who are weekenders. It would also be nice to have a Friday afternoon "Road conditions" update/alert in the winter so that we can be prepared (or stay home!) if the road conditions are bad--just a suggestion!!

Hey Cindy. Good news for you and everyone else that comes to Alpine from back east... up-to-date road conditions are now added to the sidebar with the weather forecasts! There's a link to the MD DOT site and that has the roadway weather, traffic and all sorts of stuff for the whole state of Maryland. There's even webcams from around the state. Lots of info there.
