ALPOA Mission Statement
ALPOA'S Long Term Goals
The primary goal of ALPOA for the long term is to manage Alpine Lake Resort so as to develop and maintain a safe, functional, aesthetic, and financially sound residential community and recreational facility for ALPOA members.
A secondary goal, at least for the foreseeable future, is to operate a business enterprise that provides recreational and hospitality services to the public. This secondary goal is necessitated by financial constraints that are likely to be a permanent feature of Alpine Lake. Achievement of the primary goal will probably always require substantial outside income. It should be understood, however, that the welfare of ALPOA members, present and future, is the principal concern of the Association, its Board of Directors, and its employees. Accordingly, an important responsibility of management is to pursue the secondary goal in such a way that income and other benefits received from outside business is not exceeded by costs to ALPOA members in terms of the quality of life at Alpine Lake.
Maintaining a proper balance between these two goals may be the Association's greatest challenge in the long run.
ALPOA Board of Directors
Note: This statement of goals was first adopted by the Board of Directors in 1997. It has been the principal guideline for each Board of Directors since then.
